everything we see and know in our current time space reality was first a thought in someone’s mind. a thought they manifested into reality through unwavering belief. nothing is impossible, nothing is unattainable.
The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.
one of my favorite björk photos ever. everything about it is just perfection.
my new glasses. i am in love with them. just a little bit. got the prescription filled at Confuscious Optical in chinatown. Many thanks to Steven for letting me now about that spot!
This is my second favorite song off Volta. I love Antony’s voice, it really compliments Björk’s. And when I saw them perform this song live, I just fell in love with the two of them together. Check the video out, it’s pretty awesome as can be expected from Björk. I also read something interested on Threadtrend:
“The video was directed by 3 directors who were all selected by Björk after she viewed their submissions for the video contest for “Innocence”. The duo shot the video behind a green screen and then let the directors make the video with the footage”
“Have patience with everything that remains unsolved in your heart. Try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books written in a foreign language. Do not now look for the answers. They cannot now be given to you because you could not live them. It is a question of experiencing everything. At present you need to live the question. Perhaps you will gradually, without even noticing it, find yourself experiencing the answer, some distant day.”
Here is the 2D version of Bjork’s new video for the song Wanderlust. This is personally one of my favorite songs from Volta. The video came out amazing. The 3D version will be released later this month.
Enjoyed: A Tribute to Björk’s Post is a complete 12 track tribute to Post. It is available now for free from Stereogum.
“Stereogum’s complete 12-track Enjoyed comp is live and ready to be downloaded (for free). Yep, 12. Because No Age cooked up an excellent alternate take on “It’s Oh So Quiet,” which we wanted to keep a surprise until … now. In addition to Dean and Randy’s Björk, you’ll hear, in order of appearance, the previously announced covers by Liars, Dirty Projectors, High Places, Bell, Pattern Is Movement, Evangelicals, Xiu Xiu, Final Fantasy & Ed Droste, White Hinterland, El Guincho, and Atlas Sound.”
