Fantastic glamour shots by Laura Peltre
Lottie is a brilliant makeup artist based out of Jersey City, NJ/NYC. I first spotted her work in a recent issue of Zink magazine for the La Vie En Rose editorial and immediately fell in love with the exquisite work she had done. In addition to her beauty, editorial, and advertising projects, she has worked along side renowned makeup artist Pat McGrath on runway shows for some of today’s top fashion designers such as Dior, John Galliano, Anna Sui, Yoji Yamamoto & Lanvin to name a few.
When makeup is done well and with a passion for creative expression it should be seen as another form of art. See more of her work at her website: lotstar.com
Today the amazing fall line Cult of Cherry was released by MAC. A really good collection of the seasons must have colors and some pleasant surprises as can always be expected from MAC. I preordered some stuff last week because I am really that lazy and wanted to avoid hiking it to the MAC store. Here’s what I picked:
Eyeshadow Quad: Tempting $36
Lipglass – Cult of Cherry $14
Lipstick – So Scarlet $14

“Gwen Stefani will introduce her new Harajuku Lovers fragrance collection this fall. For the project, Stefani created dolls based on herself and her four real-life backup singers, Love, Angel, Music and Baby — and turned them into scent bottles.
The scents will each be available in two sizes: $45 for 30 ml. and $25 for 10 ml. A coffret, which includes solid perfume versions of all five will retail for $60.
In the U.S., the Harajuku Lovers collection will be sold in some 2,200 department and specialty store doors, including Macy’s, Nordstrom, Dillard’s and Sephora. The lineup will also be sold in 17 international markets, including Japan, the U.K., France, Australia, Germany and China. Worldwide, the scents will be in about 10,000 doors.”
I’ve always had a problem with this whole Harajuku Lovers thing. I mean, Gwen Stefani could not possibly begin to understand the incredibly vast and mind boggling spectrum of different styles/fashion groups that the Japanese youth take part of, let alone sum it all up in such a literal one dimensional way with your “cutesy” fashion line. I think that the people who buy Harajuku Lovers just want a piece of Gwen .. even if it is a watered down representation of just a small piece of what Harajuku/Japanese fashion actually is.
That being said .. I think the bottles are cute. I would buy one because of that fact alone. Does that make me a hypocrite? I mean I do love Hello Kitty. I love unicorns and rainbows and stupid glittery cell phone charms. I collect toys and pointless Japanese Kawaii crap. I have a manga collection and a Kuromi showercap. But I have never stopped and said “Wow, that’s Harajuku Lovers bag is so cute” ….
OK Gwen fans please do not send me hate mail. I love Gwen, I really do, but I think she may be playing herself here. That’s all.

I confess, I am a nailpolish addict.
I have ALOT of it and I am always looking for new shades to try. Although back in my tween days, I used only black or red and on top of that, I would never remove it… just letting it chip away and apply a new coat. (tisk tisk) I remember back then wearing black nailpolish was a big no-no. People would just look at you weird, and then out of nowhere all these celebrities started wearing it and then it became OK because Allure and Vogue said so. What’s up with that? But anyhoo, nowadays I like to wear colors that are a contrast but also complimentary (if that makes any sense) to what I’m wearing. So here is my long wordy post on some shades I have tried and what you may want to try yourself:
Yellow, White, Gray, Navy Blue, Fuschia & Bright Pink

Kat Von D has designed a small collection for Sephora. The collection includes: 2 Eyeshadow Palette “Ludwig” and “Beethoven”, 6 Eyeliners: “Puro Amor,” “Turbo Lover,” “Immortal Love,” “Love Metal,” “Romantico,” and “Black Metal Love”, a 5-piece Eye Brush Set, and 4 Lipsticks: “Underage Red,” “Lolita,” “Misfit,” and “Hellbent.”
I love Kat’s style and especially her strong makeup so this collection sounds pretty hot. totes.
The Fafi for M.A.C. Collection has already hit stores and I’m so thrilled to see that M.A.C has created a small line of toys to go along with the collection. We all know that vinyl art toys have been a huge part of Fafi’s artistic career and its great to see her continuing this theme throughout her collaborations. While I was working for LeSportsac I saw the prototype for the LeSportsac x Fafi toy but it was never released due to a longggg list of reasons. But I love her toys and these are a steal at $9 USD each. Fafi toy collectors, you should really get these now before they sell out. I can completely see these being triple the price on Ebay in a couple of months. Visit the Fafi x M.A.C. website and click on “Collection” to order these super cute toys and of course the great makeup! I think I’m gonna head out tomorrow and pick some stuff up before it’s all gone!

I’ve been feeling very “nautical” this January, just waiting patiently for the sun to shine and the weather to warm up.
