Gustav Klimt is one of my all time favorite artists. I was always in awe of the fact that he was an artist in the 20th century because his work seemed so modern to me. But I guess that’s the beauty of creating truly timeless art, it is forever new to the viewer no matter when it is discovered. His work has inspired me throughout the years, especially in the appreciation of the female body and decorative painting. Kattaca produced the “La esencia de Klimt” editorial for the Spanish magazine Ae photographed by Moisés González. The perfectly reproduce some of his most famous work.
Here is a stool I painted in highschool of one of Klimt’s paintings. They wouldn’t let me show it in the school art fair because of the boobs. Hah. I still have it though, in fact I’m staring at it as I write this.
